Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the strategic placement of ultra-thin (think a hair’s width) needles in the acupoints that correspond to the patient’s condition. The goal is to renew the healthy flow of qi (vital energy) and to restore the body to balance.
Acupuncture is based on the body’s ability to work as one unit. All systems of the body work together to function as one unit and each acupuncture needle is on a point that communicates with energy flow in that area.
Auricular (Ear) acupuncture could be a treatment on its own. The ear resembles an inverted fetus and is how needles are selected according to obstruction. Some popular uses for auricular acupuncture are to settle food cravings, to calm the spirit, and to help to stop smoking.
