Lifestyle Plan
One healthy lifestyle change can be noticed, maybe, but a healthy lifestyle plan can absolutely change the course of someone’s life; for example, increasing life span or avoiding relying on medication for relief.
Like a plant, if it is watered and nourished with proper care it will grow strong and healthy. The same goes for our bodies. If we are health conscious, early enough, we can strengthen our bodies and possibly avoid disease.
Examples of healthy life choices are not only related to food choices such as choosing an organic apple instead of french fries, but could also be something like negative thoughts; try converting them into neutral ones then to positive ones. It could also be exercise related like choosing to take the stairs rather than an elevator up 6 flights. Are you taking 5 minutes every work hour to stretch or walk or does work take control because it needs to get done?
In ancient times in China, preventative medicine was based on the balance of life known as yin and yang opposing forces. Patients came in to see a Chinese doctor for needles, cupping, or herbal teas to balance yin and yang and/or strengthen their vital energy (called Qi (pronounced ‘chee’)). Doctors were recognized and the superior ones gained rank amongst the public by not only the number of patients they cured, but also by the number of patients who did not become ill due to preventative medicine.
I recommend at least once per month of acupuncture, massage, or herbal therapy as a means to prevent illness and to evaluate your current health.
My disclaimer. I do not guarantee or promise to cure disease. Lifestyle changes are one of the most difficult tasks to fulfill because as humans, we are creatures of habit and change is never quick; all too often it is uncomfortable. To allow a better lifestyle, the desire must come from within. Do you really want to better yourself? If yes, then commitment and will power needs to be constantly addressed during the process. Your therapy therefore should not only be limited to a visit to my clinic but should be a daily practice of self help for lasting effects.
